This page is a working draft. The terms below reflect EmailTemple's intended commercial agreement. A counsel-reviewed version ships before the studio opens to paid customers. For questions in the interim, write to marc@emailtemple.com.
Acceptance of terms
By creating an EmailTemple account or paying for a subscription, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the service.
Account creation and security
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials private. Notify us at marc@emailtemple.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
Subscription, billing, and renewal
Paid plans (Starter, Pro) renew monthly on the date you subscribed. Generation allowances reset on your billing date. Plans are managed through Stripe — you can cancel or change plans from your account settings at any time, and the change takes effect at the next billing date.
Refunds
We offer a 30-day refund on your first paid month, no questions asked. After 30 days, we don't issue refunds for past months. Plan downgrades are prorated; the credit applies to the next billing date.
Acceptable use
Don't use EmailTemple to send spam, phishing, or content that violates the law. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer the studio, abuse rate limits, or interfere with other users. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules; we'll explain why if we do.
Intellectual property
Templates you generate are licensed to you for any commercial or personal use, including modification, redistribution as part of your own emails, and resale as part of a delivered service to your own clients. The EmailTemple brand, studio interface, and underlying template architecture remain our property. Brand assets you upload (logos, fonts, copy) remain yours.
Service availability
We aim for high uptime but don't offer a contractual SLA at the Free tier. Paid tiers receive best-effort service with proactive incident communication. We'll add a formal SLA for Pro at the point we can reasonably commit to one.
Liability limitations
EmailTemple is provided as-is. We're not liable for indirect damages, consequential losses, or amounts greater than what you've paid us in the 12 months prior to a claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, in which case the broadest applicable cap applies.
Termination
You can cancel your subscription anytime from your account settings. We can terminate accounts for violations of acceptable use; we'll explain why and give you a chance to export your work where possible.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Spain, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We update this page when the agreement materially changes. Material changes are announced by email to active customers at least 30 days in advance.
