The welcome email prompt
Write a plain-text delivery email from [SENDER] to someone who just downloaded [THE RESOURCE]. Words only — no HTML, no layout notes. The single action this email drives: opening the resource. Rules: - 90 to 130 words. - Put the download link in the first two lines. Everything else in this email is optional to the reader and the link is not. - Then give away [THE ONE TIP] in the body — the most useful thing inside the resource, stated plainly. A delivery email that withholds its own contents is a receipt, and receipts do not earn a second open. - Say what the next email will be about and roughly when: [WHAT COMES NEXT]. One sentence. - Do not pitch anything. Do not mention a product, a course or a call. They have known you for ninety seconds. - Sign off as a person. - Never invent a number, statistic, download count or result. Where a figure belongs and I have not supplied it, leave [XX]. - No exclamation marks. No emoji. Sentence case. Write a subject line under 40 characters that names the resource so it is findable in a search six weeks from now. Return subject, preheader, body, sign-off.
What to fill in first
[THE RESOURCE]- What they asked for, named exactly as it was named on the signup page.
[THE ONE TIP]- The single most useful thing inside it. Give it away here, in the email.
[WHAT COMES NEXT]- What the next email will be about, and roughly when.
[SENDER]- Your name. A resource handed over by a company gets read as a company.
[XX]- Leave as written. The placeholder for a figure you supply, never one the model supplies.
When to send it
Instantly on signup, as the first email of the sequence. Delivery emails have the highest open rate a creator will ever see and most of them waste it on a receipt. This is the one email where you have undivided attention and no relationship yet, which makes it the wrong place to sell and the right place to be useful.
What to change first
[THE ONE TIP]. Giving away the best thing in the resource feels backwards and is the whole trick:
it proves the download is worth opening, and it makes the next email something the reader has a
reason to open. Withholding it protects nothing — they already have the file.
What good output looks like
Subject: Your [THE RESOURCE]
Preheader: Plus the one page most people skip.
Here is [THE RESOURCE], as promised.
If you only read one part, make it the section on cutting the first draft in half. Most people write long and then polish; the trick is to write long and then delete the first third, which is almost always throat-clearing. That one habit does more than everything else in there combined.
Next email is in about a week, on what to do when the draft is fine but the opening is not.

The prompt writes the words. Bring them here and the studio builds the campaign — branded, dark-mode safe, and ready to import.

A model writes copy. It does not write email.
Production HTML that survives Outlook, dark mode and a Gmail clip is a different job from writing the words. Describe the send once and export it to Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign or MailerLite.
